Mississippi Association of Supervisors 2025 County Employee Scholarship presented to Andrew Riley Winstead

At the May 19, 2025 regular meeting of the Neshoba County Board of Supervisors, the Board presented Andrew Riley Winstead with a $500 check as the Neshoba County recipient of the Mississippi Association of Supervisors 2025 County Employee Scholarship.  “On behalf of the Neshoba County Board of Supervisors we are proud to present this scholarship to Riley Winstead to further his education,” said Board President Kevin Cumberland.  “We wish him and his family the best as he attends East Mississippi Community College.” 

To be eligible for the MAS scholarship the recipient must submit an application, have a sponsor who is a current or retired County employee and be enrolled in a college or university.  Riley Winstead’s sponsor was his grandmother, Emily Winstead, who is retired from the Neshoba County Tax Collector’s Office. 

Derrick Surrette, Executive Director of the Mississippi Association of Supervisors said, “The MAS County Employee Scholarship program is one way that our Association can give back to the employees of our counties.”
