The Neshoba County Justice Court resides over a myriad of matters, from civil suits to delinquent mobile home taxes. Traffic tickets issued by the State Highway Patrol and the Neshoba County Sheriff's Department are resolved in the Justice Court, as well as Public Service tickets, Gaming, Fishing and Marine Reserve tickets.
This Court hears all matters with regard to DUIs and violations of County ordinances. All felony cases are first heard in the Justice Court for initial appearance and the filing of affidavit. Judges from this office have court sessions at the jail to ensure each person's right to have an initial court appearance within three days of arrest.

Steve Cumberland is serving as Justice Court Judge for Place One. He was elected in August 2023 and assumed office on January 1, 2024. He previously served as Justice Court Judge from January 1997 until December 31, 2019.
Judge Cumberland is married to Elsie and they have one daughter and two granddaughters. Judge Cumberland also serves on the Neshoba County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, Neshoba County Gin Association Board of Directors and East Mississippi Farmer's Livestock Company Board of Directors.

Johnathan Spears is serving his third term as Justice Court Judge for Place Two. He was elected in November 2015 and began his first term in January 2016. Prior to becoming judge, Johnathan was a Deputy Sheriff and DUI Officer for the Neshoba County Sheriff's Department.
