Consideration of Consolidation of Particular Voting Precincts

The Neshoba County Board of Supervisors hereby gives notice that it is considering consolidation of two particular voting precincts into two other existing voting precincts in close proximity, which will reduce the cost for acquisition of new voting machines and provide more efficient and effective operation of elections.  Public comments concerning this consolidation are encouraged and will be accepted until 10:30 AM on January 7th, 2019 by any means herein listed.

Consolidation of the District 5 Burnside Voting Precinct, currently located at the Burnside Lake Auditorium, which would be combined with the District 2 Northeast Philadelphia Box, located at the Neshoba County Coliseum.  The Neshoba County Coliseum is located approximately 2.7 road miles or about five minutes from the existing polling place.

Consolidation of the District 1 Tucker Voting Precinct, currently located at the Tucker Facility Building, which would be combined with the District 3 Tucker Box, located at the Tucker Volunteer Fire Department – Station # 1.  The Tucker Fire Department is located approximately 0.8 road miles or less than two minutes from the existing polling place.
