New Public Safety and Road Department Vehicles on Order

​The Neshoba County Board of Supervisors recently approved the purchase of new public safety vehicles and road department vehicles. 

At the request of Sheriff Tommy Waddell the Board approved the purchase of Five (5) new Ford Police Interceptor SUVs and one new Ford F-150 Pickup to be assigned to the Chief Investigator for the Sheriff's Department.  The new SUVs will be assigned to Deputies and are expected to replace the older Crown Victoria Police Interceptors.  The new vehicles will modernize the Sheriff's Department fleet with the majority of vehicles being 2013, 2015 and 2018 vehicles.

The Board also approved the purchase of a new Ford F-350 Pickup for the Emergency Management Agency as the existing 2006 Ford F-350 is having increasing mechanical issues with over 197,000 miles.

The Board approved the purchase of two new Ford F-150 Pickups for the Road and Bridge Department which will be assigned to the Board President and Road Manager.  These vehicles will allow two newer vehicles to be utilized by road department personnel and older, worn out pickups to be disposed of.

All of the vehicles will be acquired locally through Marshall Ford and will be financed with a 36 month lease through Signature Public Funding at a 2.02% interest rate.
