Neshoba County Receives $22,472 Solid Waste Assistance Grant

The Neshoba County Board of Supervisors has received a Solid Waste Assistance Grant from the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality in the amount of $22,472.00.

The County will utilize these grant funds to acquired a new 75 yard, 30 ton, Debris Dump Trailer for placement at the new Waste Convenience Center located behind the Neshoba County Unit Facility Building.  In addition to household waste, metal and white goods recycling and waste tires that can be disposed of at the Waste Convenience Center this dump trailer will provide additional capability and capacity for disposal of other debris.  The trailer is anticipated to be delivered later this year.  Hours for the waste convenience center are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM, Friday from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM and on Saturday from 7:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.  The waste convenience center is available for anyone that pays a County Solid Waste Collection Fee.
