Hunter Building in Union Acquired for Economic Development

​The Neshoba County Board of Supervisors announce that Neshoba County has acquired the former Hunter Engineering Building in Union, Mississippi in southern Neshoba County.  The 106,000 square foot industrial facility will be utilized to promote economic development in Neshoba County, the City of Union and East Central Mississippi.  Neshoba County purchased the facility in anticipation of attracting an industrial manufacturer to locate in the facility and bring additional jobs to the area.  The facility is situated on 52 acres in the Industrial Park in Union allowing for future expansion and is adjacent to the Kansas City Southern Railway.  The facility was acquired at a cost of $450,000.00.  Neshoba County has already been working with the Mississippi Development Authority, Mississippi Power and the Community Development Partnership to attract potential manufacturers for the facility.  

The facility was originally built by Hunter Engineering Company in 1990.
