Philadelphia-Neshoba County Museum Council

The Philadelphia-Neshoba County Museum Council was created by an act of the Mississippi Legislature in House Bill 1840 of the 2004 Regular Session. The council is composed of five (5) members appointed as follows: Two (2) members appointed by the governing authorities of the City of Philadelphia; Two (2) members appointed by the Board of Supervisors of Neshoba County, Mississippi; and one (1) member appointed by The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.

The Philadelphia-Neshoba County Tourism/Economic Council was created by an act of the Mississippi Legislature in Senate Bill 3199 of the 1999 Regular Session. The act was amended by House Bill 1854 of the Mississippi Legislature in the 2002 Regular Session. The council is composed of five (5) members appointed as follows: Two (2) members appointed by the governing authorities of the City of Philadelphia; Two (2) members appointed by the Board of Supervisors of Neshoba County, Mississippi; and one (1) member appointed by The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
