Coronavirus Response - County Operational Information


Based on recommendations from Public Health and to ensure the safety and well being of Neshoba County Citizens to combat and prevent the spread of COVID-19 The Neshoba County Board of Supervisors has ordered that the Neshoba County Courthouse be closed to the public, except for necessary and required Court that is scheduled by the Court of Jurisdiction. This order is in effect until April 7, 2020 or until conditions improve with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Further, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, in an effort to ensure the safety of County employees and the citizens of Neshoba County, the County has suspended all events scheduled at the Neshoba County Coliseum and the facility is closed for use until at least April 17th.

Business with County Departments can still be conducted via telephone, email, mail and on-line.  All public safety agencies and departments are functional, operational and working with the Sheriff supplementing the patrol function with additional deputies.  The Neshoba County Law Enforcement Center is closed to the public and visitation services at the facility are discontinued until further notice.  Because of the evolving nature of the pandemic and it's potential effect in Neshoba County - the County is constantly evaluating the needs for these actions and will continue to make decisions as necessary to ensure the health and safety of all citizens. 

To limit the spread of COVID-19, please follow all CDC Recommendations, stay at home and self-quarantine to the extent possible.

Per the Governor's Declaration the Neshoba County School District will not be in session for students until at least through April 17th.

All recreation activities have been suspended at Northside Park and all Parks are closed.

By order of the Governor - All Driver License Locations including the Neshoba County Coliseum location is closed.

The Neshoba County Extension Service is closed.

The Philadelphia - Neshoba County Public Library is closed to the public until further notice.

The United States Census Bureau has announced that it is suspending 2020 Census field operations for two additional weeks until April 15, 2020.  The 2020 Census is open for self-response online at
