The Neshoba County Board of Supervisors recently nominated Randy Gill to the Twin Districts Workforce Development Board. Mr. Gill is President of R & B Properties Inc., in Philadelphia.
The Twin Districts Workforce Board covers 24 counties who have signed an interlocal agreement to work together to implement the program, which is a complete overhaul of the job-training system and is designed to help employers find the workers they need and help job seekers to get the training they need for the jobs they want. The Board sets policy for workforce investments within this area and provies oversight of the workforce program. The Board works closely with the East Central and Southern Planning and Development Districts along with the Community Colleges and the Mississippi Department of Employment Security. At least 51% of the board members must be private business representatives.
